This 35:00 minute video I have quickly put together, to answer a question from one of my subscribers. He had watched my Tegumi (pre-arranged, sequential, fighting sequence) on WIng Chun's first form Siu Nim Tao and asked if it was possible with the second Wing Chun Hand Form called Chum Kiu.

This form bridges the simple tools of the Wing Chun Style and introduces greater mobility and body integration into the attack methods. We still incorporate the 6 Wind Hands of Shaolin, which are the tools and heritage of the Wing Chun, now with greater diversity, application and power via body integration. Yet we can also use the body to transition (or Bridge) following actions or applications to follow subsequent attacks or gain greater leverage over an opponent.

  • Tools bridge you full body kinetics deeper into the vital targets of the inner anatomy.
  • Targets are the bridge from the outer body to the inner and more vital anatomical structures.
  • Trajectories bridge your applied power from you to the intended internal goal.
  • Transition is the bridge of your adherence and flow with the opponent to maintain control.
  • Transfer through torque is the bridge of shock to the internal anatomical structure to cause physiological affect.
