Sound Projection - the acoustic phenomenon that gives sound a penetrating quality.
Gary Rooks is the pioneer that brought Sound Projection to Kyusho, he was the first and is the very best. Learning it from an old White Crane Master he further refined and adapted it to a powerful tool in the Kyusho practitioners arsenal. He has released the deep inner workings of the bodies electrical systems with ground breaking research in:
- Sound Projection
- Quadrants
- Poles
- Varied Sounds
- Advanced Sound Revival
- Internal aspects of Kata
- And many more vital areas...
He has also made major breakthroughs in the health aspects of Kyusho that have an impact in his area, with referrals from Doctors and Hospitals to the benefit of so many. Working for years with the Cincinnati Bengals football franchise for the players and cheering staff, he is now beginning development in high school sports area.
Gary has been in Kyusho since the beginning of it's public debut and is one of the most highly skilled masters of this discipline... taking Kyusho to a deeper level.
"The man is a genius in Kyusho and Martial Arts. It is sometimes years after learning from him that we are ready to understand his teaching and as you shout "AHA" you realize how profound it is". - Evan Pantazi
We will be bringing you his resource materials on Kyusho, Sound Projection, Poles, Quadrants, Tuite and more. Compiled with devastating KO's that validate his lessons, Gary's DVD's have been out of production for a long time now, but we are revitalizing these productions for instant access.

Absolutely fascinating area of study. Gary is a modern day pioneer and I look forward to learning from his extensive body of knowledge.
In the Bubishi two styles are depicted, Tiger and Crane. In the Crane style there are several branches; one in particular is Crying Crane Fist 鳴鶴拳 – míng hè quán beng5 hoh8 kun5 – also known as Calling, Whooping, or Shouting Crane.
We are fortunate that one of the Kai’s Black Belts found an old Crane Stylist from the Gokenki lineage that helped Gary Rooks reveal this ancient skill and knowledge. It is a a deep study that has revealed so much in Kyusho.
So many have tried to garner Gary’s work as their own, but they fall short of his depth and significance for Kyusho. Here is a brief bio of Gary Rooks, but please also follow the link in this to understand what Sound application is in respect to Kyusho.
Have you looked into the sound usage in yoga? The chakras often use sound as well as color (light is just a different level of energy, as is sound.) the ancient Babylonians and Egyptians also used sound in different rituals. It’s also been said that sounds or tonal qualities have a lot to do with early worship. The use of “EL” or “AH” in ancient Hebraic worship. The different names of gods had certain tonal qualities; in both healing as well as defense.
Sound also played a part as a possible source of power in not only cutting and shaping mammoth stones, but moving huge blocks into place. The huge, oddly shaped skulls of the nephilim or giants had extra large craniums with even larger nasal cavities that were capable of producing sounds that had far reaching potential. You might check out stevequayle.com for further research.
Yes sir there is a lot of validity in sound throughout history and culture it can not be denied… however there is a lot of BS as well. Our mission is to ascertain which is which and that can only ever come from personal experience, believe everything and nothing until it becomes your experience.
It is all in vibration… as all entities vibrate as the energy particles coincide. However to be actually (not theoretically) able to utilize them is the goal.
For many years I have respected Gary for his Genius in not only Kyusho, but his deep understanding and discoveries in anatomical function.
To most (myself included), his Genius is overwhelming and takes time for us to assimilate or understand.
It has been part of my mission to help people get to a place where it is possible. And with our new curriculum the process has been speeded up.
Hang on folks you ain’t seen nuthin yet.
Master Rooks Hakutsuru was just released and shows very advanced Kyusho and Sound Projection involved in this old Kata.
Water Sound being added today.
i am interested in the advanced sound revivals ,to compare it with the normal revivals but i can’t find the videos on the site.
are you going to be doing any seminars in the uk
We do not publish the revivals sir, because it is an individual basis application. Please check for the “Advanced Revival” methods https://kyusho.com/advanced-revivals/
As for a seminar in the UK, I have not been there for about 10 years, if you know of a sponsor, I would be happy to come back to help. We have many from the UK on Kyusho.com, none yet to sponsor.
