5th of 9 Leg Knockouts using Hohan Sokens Kyusho Targets
For Neko Ashi Dachi, Fumikomi, Kosa Dachi, or in Kobudo Bo and Eku attacks
As we have seen in the prior Lower Kandan Kyusho Targets presented in Hohan Sokens Secret notes (Download a set of these notes - Click Here), it is possible to knockout an opponent on the legs or feet. Soin is a target on the foot that can be Tread on as in the Cross Over Step from Nai Han Chi Kata (Hohan Soken performing in film), or Crushing, which would require a Stomping action or weapon attack.
Looking at the traditional Kobudo Arts, with wooden staffs or oars, we can adapt the stabbing actions to the ground as just such and attack on the Soin and Koori Kyusho Targets. However it is also possible to work with foot attacks using the crossover step, stomp, or even the Cat Stance (Neko Ashi Dachi in Japanese).
As the modern day applications of stomping and treading are most useful in self defense, this target is easily accessible.
