Shichen ("Long Hours") typically refer to time periods. The ancient Chinese referred to 12 segments of time after the 12 months and the 12 corresponding animals. The day was divided into 12 two hour periods and related to the attributes of these animals, much like the zodiac.

As this is one of the Key Factors in deciphering the ancient Bubishi and real Kyusho, it is imperative that the true practitioner know how it does relate as opposed to the superficial explanation in the modern renditions.
As example in this context, "The symbol and mascot with different symbolic meanings for each one affecting their behaviors, characters and destiny, or in our case, the differences in the characteristics of the injury" -ep
