grundandpoundGround and Pound

There is a reason that more people are not KO'd in MMA during a ground and pound application and it is not blocking.

We have all seen the ground'n pound in MMA, street fights and maybe even your brother!

So why is it that people can withstand the barrage of this brutal attack and even come back to win the fight?

Well there are a number of reasons, first being they are not targeting or hitting the Kyusho targets.  Or maybe they are attacking them from the wrong angle... or maybe there is another hidden reason!

Yes and it is purely physiological, none of this elemental stuff or Chi this or that... the body, brain and function of the human is very specific and universal in all of us.  The brain controls everything and we need to understand how it does to understand Kyusho to the fullest.  There are not only many systems all functioning 24/7 but also systems ready to become operational in emergency situations.  It is all a part of it and leaving out a key like this is not only retarding your full potential, but it could end up even getting you hurt.

The reason has been explained superficially in the past as many of you have seen me teach the core concept before; it was first introduced back in 2001 at Deer Lake facility at a summer camp.  But so much has been discovered since then and has raised our capabilities that much more... in fact we found it is much like a dynamic game of chess... (not so much if the other person does not know Kyusho or this invaluable information, but really a game when they do).

This concept and procedures are not just limited to the ground fighting either folks, this explains it all (if you look deep into it) from fighting to health and wellness.  It is not just a technique it is a tool to use anytime you are in contact with another.  So if you have the goal of becoming a well rounded Kyusho-Ka, you need to work this concept and method in all your Kyusho training... in fact in our old curriculum this was the skill set demanded for our 3rd level instructors as well as the current curriculum for Sandan in the Kyusho-Jutsu Kokusai Shihankai.

Difficult yes, do-able, yes, will it make you a better all around Kyusho practitioner... absolutely.
