The new model
We have continuously refined our training in Kyusho dramatically over the years with many realizations and advancements as the outcome each time.
1. We went from virtually no knowledge (just wishful thinking) based on movies, myths and antiquated manuals. We went through periods of linking seemingly plausible theory and alternate paradigms as we gradually dispelled the myths, researched and experimented through to real and scientific models of measure. (static application or specific technique based training)
2. But that was not enough simply knowing, the true goal was to make it work realistically and under more demand to validate the integrity of what we found. We advanced our training methods and in so doing, we found more true workable processes and deeper affects in Kyusho. This also quickly helped us know what really worked under more demanding and stressful situations and what was worthless. (target and tool based rapid drilling methods)
3. We then stripped all drills and moved into more realistic sparring and added further training mechanisms to enhance our capabilities. To this we added more tactical training not in weapons, but environmental restriction or challenge, yes still training the weapons in a more spontaneous and challenging dynamic method. This again served to let us know what worked and what did not...we neverrested on old paradigms or clung to comfortable abilities, that is why each new model placed us so much further ahead of all the rest. (stepped sparring progressions)
4. As some of us still love Kata, but understand that trained techniques and bunkai failed under heavy stress and demand... we worked to find a new model that would be adaptable to training as well as the stress of real attack, especially in multiple aggressor application. This brought us to a new working model and lead us to proclaim, "never put Kyusho in your style, put your style in Kyusho"... this was not met with a lot of fanfare, but we do not care about what people think, we are interested in finding what works and throwing out what does not... no matter how traditional it is. We fully understand people enjoy Bunkai as do we, we just do not mire ourselves in the addiction to it. (Kyusho unleashed training)
5. Now we are working with a new model of systemics and are simultaneously working on yet another chapter as we find out more of what works and does not in this new model... and we are ecstatic that the need for change is constant as we would be stagnant if we were not growing constantly. (systemic approach)
And in true advancing form, we have had the benefit of helping many more people than we could have with prior skills and understanding. That is if they appreciate change for their betterment as opposed to being comfortable in old models, methods and knowledge. Many groups always try to create something new, thinking of new ways to teach Kyusho (colors, directions, elements, etc.) or they create new theories to present something new at a seminar. We prefer to increase the stress, adrenaline rush, physical limitations of fear, spontaneity and severe duress to let it teach us what can and can not be accomplished.
There is so much more to tell and especially train in Kyusho using these more individual and dynamic training sessions. Lets face it there are just so many targets so trying to learn new ones or playing with them in new theoretical ways will not make anyone better and they will not be usable in real confrontation. This will have taken valuable time from your life and if not usable or inefficient then it is wasted effort. Remember if it is only in your mind it is theory, if it is in your hands it is skill... if you listen more to the hands than the conscious thought you will ingrain Kyusho into your subconscious faster and deeper... inn't this the goal?
We also delve and refine other areas like Energy Development, not staying locked or mired in to one idea like Chinese or Japanese or Indian methods like the release of Kundalini, (yes it is real). This allows us greater freedom and to find the exact fit for each individual rather than copy and duplicating another persons (likewise copy and duplicate) approach. Advancements in all associated or interwoven endeavors have refined along the same experimental and individual guidelines and will continue to do so to help more people find their individual path. But it is not just knowledge we seek to throw at you or sell you, our goal is to help you actualize a personal skill or capability that you can use in real life or urgent need, not just a training hall.
The blog you are reading are just a glimpse, we guide you more when using the platinum subscription and forum in conjunction, so that not only are you educated, but finding real skill and personal development. We will be working to always keep you on the cutting edge as this is a unique approach in the Kyusho World (as well as Martial, Healing or Energy Arts). This will expand and multiply your growth when you attend the clinics and workshops for training sessions... you will learn more and faster than ever before.
The next developed phase of the advancing curriculum will be released after years of field study and only when we are certain our affiliates have absorbed or actually accomplish the current advancements to a high degree. This exclusive training for this phase of advancement will not be filmed as we have decided to keep it as a private instructional (better for the individual learning experience and development) basis as well as the 6th phase. And our promise to you is when that is also absorbed and our affiliates can successfully accomplish it we will have yet another phase as life is in constant flux and growth is always natures motion... we hope you will join us for the journey.

So what I am struggling with lately is the naming convention. I am an old forum member with a new gold subscription. I am still referring to the pressure point areas of attack. Have you created, are creating, and testing a new naming convention utilizing medical terminology? I pose this here so that I may word future questions in such a manner that you do not have to reply using the old paradigm, or having to state that it is the old paradigm.
Sir,
There is a simple way to work and that is with the same nomenclature that you are used to, but with a correct understanding of what you are really affecting.
If you know the point location or name, you will know where the manipulation should be directed, but realize the real structures and reasons for the given affects.
You will also gain a new freedom as the structures are larger than the “Pressure Points” and you will be more skilled because knowing the real structure allows you to work with it correctly.
The targets are areas and as such will be far more attainable in real and stressful situational need.
As you note in all instruction, we mix the point designation with the real underlying and affected structures. This duality is for a couple of reasons:
1. People like yourself that have a lot of time with the old nomenclature, it is easier for communication and location.
2. The Medical terminology can be just as confusing or offsetting as the point designation and TCM terminology.
Lets face it, in any communication keeping it simple is the best way, but the most difficult to balance. That is why this subscription service was created, there is not one but several information presentations like written word, several layer graphic locational and structural images and video that all correlate to the lesson at hand. This insures the best communication of each task.
And there is always the forum or Blog posts like this to ask a question and eliminate the confusion or doubt and fortify the correct transference of information and skill.
I am sure others have the same questions or concerns, so thank you for adding them here so that other can also benefit… as more people communicate, more is accomplished.
