toe-kick-1The Toe Kick

A staple of original Okinawan Karate styles and those of some parts of China, inherently use the big toe as the tool to inflict severe pain, dysfunction and damage to the opponent.  It is a perfect tool for the Kyusho Targets, but as all Kyusho targets, the trajectory is crucial to inflict the desired affects.  This is not new information as it has been documented throughout history by many highly trained and highly regarded Martial Warriors, but rather it has been neglected or ignored by most modern instructors.

The entire intent of this formidable weapon is to penetrate the outer protections of the muscle strands and dig deep into the nerve, vascular and organ structures.  This is exactly like the 6-Ji hands penetrating deeper into the vital targets, but much more demanding in training to accomplish in high stress combative need.

The training first should take into account the conditioning of the toes to withstand the impact, next is the targeting and trajectory of the vital targets.  Whereas must targets that this tool is capable of accessing, generally need a downward and angled entry and follow through path, there are a few (as pictured) that can also use a rising path and penetrating aspect.

Taking this further we can break it down into varying internal structures and gain understanding of how deep we need to penetrate to access certain structures.  Now this will depend on the physical body location, as example the nerves of the leg are deeper than on the arm and sometimes not as deep as those in the torso.  And the varying structures of course are themselves on varying levels of depth in the body... and consequently why many people struggle with Kyusho.  They see the incorrect acupuncture charts and a point in two dimensional rendering, expecting to just hit the location and gain the devastating results... Kyusho demands proper education of not only location, but angle of access, depth and physical surrounding structures.  (It is not as difficult as it sounds if the instruction is of high quality over quantity).

So let's investigate these levels first in order of severity and deadly capability... Bronze Subscribers Read More and watch the special video - Click Here
