Kyusho has mistakenly been taught and marketed as a KO Method or Art... but it is far more comprehensive than that. We have seen the power and efficiency that can be obtained by any looking to do so on a martial basis... but sadly this attracts mostly men that want to enact a KO on another to feed an ego. Look at the top menu on this page and spend some time looking at the different (but not complete) facets of Kyusho.
Kyusho is an understanding of the human anatomy and its physiological functionality. Yes it can drop a person, KO them, cause pain and dysfunction... but not just as a macho exercise, or a proving of dominance over another.
What is mostly forgotten is that Kyusho is a great equalizer.
It helps the older, the slower, the weaker, the smaller and evens up the self protection field as opposed to yielding benefit to those testosterone junkies. So the benefits are not attracting as many women...and that again is due to that ego or testosterone thing. The men and Women, bang the Kyusho points and the women (beside bruising far more easily than men) who are more frail do not bear up as well as both the inner and outer physiology can not handle the impact on the nerves as well.
This is a call to all Kyusho Instructors around the world, there needs to be a systemic way for both genders to train together without the suffering (unless wanted) that ensues when ego, competition or dominance factors come into play. It first takes a sane instructor with the will to impose the control and specific training programs in play so that all may gain the benefits of Kyusho.
Well there is a way and it is also a game changer in regard to learning (as well as training) Kyusho for all involved. You must when integrating classes, be absolutely on target in your training, but you need not apply the pain or dysfunction each time. In so doing you will retain current members more and they in turn are more willing to reference your sessions. Think of it how long will a member stay on when in each class they come out beaten, discolored and in pain? And do you think they will reference your training session to a "Friend"?

In any event all should be able to benefit from Kyusho, in protection, health, energy, intimacy, control even yoga, all must be able to train equally and still maintain the integrity of that training...
