Most people in Kyusho are into pressure points, they believe these to be the targets of Hohan Soken and Kyusho in general, but this is not the case. Through decades of experimentation and research, the words of the old Masters, like Hohan Soken, were and are true Kyusho. They did not use the acupuncture terms or targets, they used real anatomy and use to document the Kyusho... this is the real Kyusho, not the modern model derived from poor research.
Typically as an example a Modern Kyusho (pressure point), practitioner will target what is called Spleen 21 (SP-21), This is in the area of the diaphragm and will cause a contraction and loss of breath. However this is not what Wakikage attacks, nor are the results the same. A clear way to realize this is to be struck (correctly) on both to measure the affects.
