This segment is demonstrating and explaining the third type of concussive power, again using one of the more recognizable postures in all Tai Chi Styles is the Pushing Hands (Tui Shao) posture. It’s not just for pushing, in fact they it is a very potent and focused attack for Kyusho, that can be incorporated into your Tai Ghi or other Martial Style.
Again concussion is not a simple metric and it can be delivered in many forms and forces and each of these forces have more specific targets in an opponent, that best suits its application.
As we saw and felt the affects of the prior two types concussive blows, this third level escalates the affects with this concussion, again deeply affects the nervous system by overriding natural protections and reflexes of the body. When you review the “Iron Shirt” video, you will see this dynamic played out and explained in a different way, however it is the same basis in the human function we are accomplishing.
