Received from Chip Quimby:
Hi Team,
I hope you’re enjoying this marvelous spring afternoon.
Hey I wanted to make sure you knew that I’ll be co-hosting another very
special seminar with Sensei Evan Pantazi here at ATKC on April 28th and
we’d love to have you join us!
We’re both really excited about the topic for this seminar, which will
be *Street
Tactics and Practical Self-Defense from Seisan Kata*. This form, which is
practiced by dozens of styles of karate throughout the world, is highly
respected for its straight forward, practical, no-nonsense approach to
self-defense, and empowers practitioners with the tools and philosophy
needed to be success in physical confrontations.
I and Sensei Pantazi will be sharing our favorite concepts from the kata
and showing why we believe them to be so effective. What’s more, I’m
thrilled that the seminar will be held at our very own dojo, and so I’m
looking forward to welcoming a very broad and diverse group of martial
artists who are interested in exploring why Seisan is so valuable for
practical self-defense. Please don’t expect to show up and practice
traditional Seisan Bunkai – we have some very special material in store and
this seminar promises to be one you don’t want to miss.
The seminar is open to all ranks and styles, and registration information
can be found at the link below. Feel free to contact me directly if you
have any questions, and I hope to see you there!
